PubMatic Adds 50-Plus Pre-Bid Segments for Connected-TV Buyers

The Silverpush integration lets advertisers filter streaming inventory by episode context and brand-safety classification before bidding. The partners say it is available globally.

PubMatic has added Silverpush’s episode-level contextual and brand-safety segments to its connected-TV supply, giving advertisers a new way to filter streaming inventory before bidding. In a September 24 announcement, Silverpush said buyers transacting through PubMatic can select from more than 50 pre-built segments. For media buyers, the immediate change is a content-selection option when deciding which impressions to pursue.

Buyers can choose categories including travel, sports, beauty, education and home improvement, alongside pre-bid brand-safety classifications, according to Silverpush. Episode-level classification describes the content used to define a segment; it does not guarantee a placement in a particular episode or beside a particular scene.

Where the new buying option applies

PubMatic says the integration is available globally across its connected-TV supply. It describes that supply as including 28 of what it calls the top 30 global streamers. That vendor-defined supply figure does not specify how many eligible impressions—or which services—a particular campaign can reach.

The new route is PubMatic, rather than episode-level segmentation itself. Silverpush announced episode-level pre-bid segments on select buying platforms in March 2025. The September 2026 announcement extends the stated availability of those segments to buyers using PubMatic’s supply.

That distinction matters when assigning budget. The integration gives buyers another way to select suitable content environments, while the amount of inventory and its price will determine what a campaign can actually buy. The announcement does not establish lower impression costs or customer-acquisition costs for this PubMatic integration.
